Yes that is snow Matt is standing in.
We took the tram at Snowbird to the top of Hidden Peek. There were some die hard snowboarders on the tram headed to hike to the snow and board down.

I LOVE snowbird!! We used to spend a week there every summer growing up. I'm so jealous you were there! I remember one year (we always went the end of July) we rode the tram up and there was still snow to "slide" around on.
Looks like fun!
